Doug Hanna of S+H Construction, Inc. is pleased to be named the 2013 Remodeler of the Year by the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB). Each year, the association recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of individual members within the homebuilding and remodeling industry. This year's recipients will be honored at the Annual Awards Dinner taking place at the Newton Marriot on April 11th.
Mr. Hanna, along with his partner and co-president Alex Slive, has led the award-winning firm for over 30 years. From the onset, S+H garnered an outstanding reputation for its integrity, professionalism and innovative approach to construction by offering a dedicated team who share a commitment to customer satisfaction. S+H collaborates with architects and other design professionals on complex to simple renovations and restorations and also offers a site work/landscaping division, a solar/renewable energy division for both residential and commercial properties, and a small jobs and maintenance division.
Mr. Hanna holds a Construction Supervisor license with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is OSHA certified. He has served on the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Cambridge Youth Hockey League. He has worked extensively over the years with the Cambridge Historical Commission (S+H is well known for their expertise in historical restorations and renovations) and serves on the board of directors for the Cambridge Housing Assistance Fund (CHAF). In addition to BRAGB, Mr. Hanna is a member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
