The Courtyard Miami Airport West/Doral Hotel now has the brand’s new Refreshing Business lobby idea, aimed at giving occupants the freedom to work unhindered or socialize while on the move. Visitors to the hotel will be impressed by the renovations and the new decor of the lobby with lively contrasting colors of orange and blue.
The functionality of the lobby has also been enhanced. The old front desk has been replaced by newer welcome pedestals, giving the staff at the reception more freedom to move around to show guests around the lobby and be of assistance. Seating in the lobby has been increased. The adjustable seating arrangements include a multi-seater table in the center, private media booths with high-definition televisions and also intimate semi-covered lounge areas.
A distinctive aspect of the new lobby is the GoBoard technology, a 60” touchscreen full of regional information, maps, weather, news, etc. Guests can use the touchscreen feature to find local attractions, directions, restaurants, and flight status before they check out. Guests have access to the Internet through the free WiFi and can also keep their equipment charged with the various electrical outlets provided in the lobby.
The expanded business library features a number of computers connected to printers with some dedicated to checking flight status and printing boarding passes. The hotel’s dining experience has been completely overhauled with The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect. concept, with offerings of comfortable casual seating, healthier and lighter breakfast choices, improved access to better quality food, and evening drinks, beer and snacks so guests can relax.
A shop for snacks, beverages and miscellaneous items, The MarketTM, is open round the clock for people’s convenience. Green, the Marriott’s personalized color, has been further fine-tuned with more eco-friendly, separate recycling bins for metal, glass, paper and plastic.
