Paul Layne, Executive Vice President of master planned communities for The Howard Hughes Corporation, affirmed that Hughes Landing is located optimally and will be beautified by picturesque lake scenes besides a promenade and a pier, offering its residents multiple options for dining, shopping and entertainment other than good living conditions.

Layne further added that the clearly prevalent requirement for office space in The woodlands, which was addressed in their earlier project 3 Waterway Square which was a stupendous success, will be further mitigated by Hughes Landing with its offering of various facilities for residents, office goers and also visitors.

The construction on the first office structure, One Hughes Landing, is scheduled to begin during fall of this year and is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2013. Designed by Gensler of Houston, the eight-story, 195,227-square foot Class A building is planned with the aim of earning a LEED Silver certification.
