A new assortment of terrazzo concrete colors and designs was brought out by a specialty concrete manufacturer, SureCrete Design Products, to be utilized along with its Xtreme Series Terrazzo Mix. This composite product is the strongest in the terrazzo industry and allows 150% load of recycled aggregates besides being a high early strength cement casting product.
Xtreme Series Terrazzo
All the new Xtreme Series Terrazzo color designs are worthy of LEED authentication because they use post-consumer and post-industrial ingredients, which make them zero-VOC and highly environmentally friendly products. The new color designs come in a wide range of background shades that can be inlaid with colorful recycled glass aggregates. This makes them a fashionable and distinguished option for various uses such as housing, industrial or business concrete countertops, wall panels, back splashes and other customer-specified designs.
The high flexibility of Xtreme Terrazzo makes it the ideal choice to design furniture that has high curvature and also to manufacture all kinds of long-lasting and strong architectural overlays. It enables fabrication of pre-cast, cast-in-place, or distinguished “capping” of existing cabinetry with stylish, well-polished countertops.
The SureCrete group also offers training to fabricators to cast cement-based terrazzo employing the reduction method to reduce the cost of raw materials by about 20%–25%. The new line of Xtreme Series Terrazzo color options will be officially out online on July 2, 2012.
