As part of its growth master plan, NCC Construction, already a big participant in the Oslo region of Norway will acquire the construction company OKK Enterprenör AS. OKK, with a staff of 350 and yearly sales revenues of SEK 1 billion, and functions in Oslo and in the Drammen region. OKK’s primary business is constructing residential and business structures.
In the viewpoint of NCC CEO Peter Wågström, with the population in urban areas surging with expansion of cities, and the subsequent need for additional residential units, the construction sector in Oslo and the Drammen region is predicted to also see a surge in its activities. By taking over OKK, NCC would be offered a better geographic station and facilities to develop further in Oslo and Buskerud. The company would also be able to showcase and further fine-tune its current proficiency in constructing, maintaining, and renovating buildings. The taking over would be guided by various Norwegian authority stipulations that would have to be fulfilled before the deal can be finalised.
NCC Construction is a prominent construction and property development firm in the Nordic region. Last year, the company announced sales of SEK 53 billion, with 17,500 staff. It constructs offices, housing units, civil engineering, roads and other infrastructure in Norway.
