DaVinci Roofscapes has introduced a new line of polymer roofing tiles named Bellaforte Shake. These tiles are similar to real cedar shakes in appearance and come in multiple profiles. The tiles measure 12” and enable roofing contractors to create a staggered appearance similar to a rough wood shake roof.
The tile comes with self aligning features such as an aligning ledge and a leading edge tab that are patented and help in reducing the installation time. A square of Bellaforte Shake contains 100 pieces and weighs less than 190 pounds. The lighter weight of the tile also helps in the reduction of landfill arising from construction waste. The tiles are fully recyclable and are available in 49 colours. It is also available in five colour blends such as Tuscano, Verona, Espresso, Harbor Gray and Abruzzo.
The manufacturing of these tiles is done by using proprietary engineered polymer with the latest UV stabilisers and are resistant to cracking, moulding, curling and insects. They also have the capacity to absorb water which helps in easy installation under all kinds of weathers.
The tiles have already undergone various tests and certifications such as the TAS-125 certification test and the ASTM D3161 test for wind uplift resistance and the TAS-100 certification test for resistance to wind driven rain. The roofing tiles are also available in the company’s award winning EcoBlend gray colours which have been named as “cool roof” by the Cool Roof Rating Council.
