Trimble, a provider of advanced positioning solutions has introduced the Trimble 773 Robotic Total Station with VISION technology, which belongs to the Trimble Field Link for mechanical, engineering and plumbing (MEP) and Structures construction layout solutions.
The innovative layout solutions enable the steel contractors, MEP trades, concrete contractors and general contractors to easily understand the measurement of surfaces and positions with the help of live video for obtaining improved accuracy and productivity with respect to the field point layout.
The live video feed that allows the contractors to view and measure the positions and surfaces is provided from the instrument present on their Trimble Tablet in the Trimble Field Link software. The contractors can conveniently locate and stake points according to the data file for the project by integrating point names, point elevations, descriptions, point names, point symbols and/or 2D line-work with the live video.
Trimble's Building Construction Division’s General manager, Pat Bohle stated that the company links the building construction design aspects with the field based processes by adding VISION technology to the Trimble’s construction layout solutions. He further said that the company’s next step is to integrate point data and 2D line-work from Trimble Field Link job files with the live video to increase the productivity and accuracy for the building contractor.
The MEP and structures contractors can purchase the Trimble 773 Robotic Total Station with VISION technology utilized for Trimble Field Link through the Trimble's Authorized Distributors.
