MKS Residential has announced that it has begun construction of a 319-unit apartment block named 3100 Pearl which is located east of 30th and Pearl streets in Boulder, Colorado.
The apartment unit is being constructed by ReyLenn Construction Company, an affiliate of MKS. The property is likely to be opened for leasing by the summer of 2013 and construction is expected to be completed by June 2014.
The apartment block consists of two buildings covering a total area of 5.3 ac with each building having three and four stories, respectively. The development will include 194 one-bedroom apartment and 125 two-bedroom apartments with an average unit size of 850 sq. ft. Apart from residential units, the development will also include commercial and restaurant space over 3,000 sq. ft. These residential apartment units are part of a larger construction project named Boulder Junction for the city of Boulder. This project was initially known as Transit Village Area Plan. Amenities in the 3100 Pearl community property include 10,000 sq. ft clubhouse with latest features. The clubhouse will contain a 3,000 sq. ft fitness centre and a 1,000 sq. ft all purpose room which can accommodate kickboxing, spin, yoga and Pilates classes. It will also feature the business center, leasing and management office, pool table, teaching kitchen, indoor shuffleboard, and Wii/Video game station.
Outdoor facilities include an infinity pool, spa with setting for barbecue and gas fire pits. A pet/dog washing facility and a self-service bicycle repair facility will also be constructed outdoors. Each unit comes with individual garbage disposals, microwaves, granite countertops and energy efficient lighting. The property also provides close access to supermarkets, theatres and major retailers.
