Affordable Housing International, a Hong Kong based company specialising in affordable housing has stated that a new affordable housing system has to be implemented in order to meet the short supply of affordable housing.
According to a recent report published by the UN growth markets has highlighted the need of 100,000 additional housing units per day over the next 30 years.
To address this issue Affordable Housing International has launched the new STELETE building system which can reduce the costs of affordable housing by 25%. The system can provide 25% savings on the costs of concrete used in traditional buildings and can enhance the speed of construction by five times as compared to regular construction. The foam insulated concrete used in the new system can provide 20 times the insulation in relation to standard concrete walls and 10 times more than infill brick walls. This feature provides substantial savings in heating and cooling and also helps in achieving environmental standards.
Affordable Housing International is a company that has been formed by the CEO and CTO of FrameMax which is a US-based company specialising in cold formed steel buildings.
