Jyco Sealing Technologies is introducing commercial and residential windows that feature its new weathersealing technology. Under the new technology the windows will be framed with thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV) which is a rubber plastic compound that was introduced by the company during the year 2000.
The windows that are fitted with the new frame will have the ability to withstand extreme weathers. The compound is already in use in the automotive industry and has become a standard weather sealing application for trucks, SUVs and cars.
These windows have greater performance levels and are more cost effective than vinyl clad windows. The company intends to distribute these windows to all its suppliers and residential and commercial builders. The product will be available in three sizes till 3” X 4”. The sizes will be available with polycarbonate or glass windows and in stationery or sliding designs. The windows will also be marketed to RV manufacturers to whom the company has already been supplying TPV parts and seals for the past seven years. The TPV for the windows is produced by the company without any emissions or VOCs. The scrap resulting from the production process is fully recyclable. From a customer point of view too, if the window is to be replaced, the TPV contents of the window can be recycled, Jyco operates in many locations around the world such as the US, Japan, China, Mexico and Japan.
