Reward Wall Systems Introduces Boost-R-Panel

US-based Reward Wall Systems is introducing the new highly energy efficient Boost-R-Panel which meets the requirements of architects. The panels can increase the R-value of Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) to R-30 and to a maximum of R-55 in certain specialised applications.

Installing a Boost-R Panel

The panels have been designed in such a manner that they can be fitted easily over all 8 form ties and rebar chairs. Since the panels are located inside the core, the furring strips of the ICF can be accessed from outside the form for attachments. The Boost-R-Panel can be customised according to various types of foam densities and thicknesses so that they meet the standards of R-value without increasing the cost.

According to Hank Pfeiffer who is the COO of Reward Wall Systems, as more and more industries and home owners are moving to sustainable buildings the Boost-R-Panel will prove to be a cost effective and efficient material which allows ease of installation. The company expects that this product will meet a number of specific requirements from owners and architects as the industry advances towards more sustainable buildings. As an example of the R-values that can be achieved, a 15” reward ICF is taken and a 4” 1.5 pcf density Boost-R panel is added so as to obtain an R-38.68 wall with a 6’ concrete core.
