US- based manufacturer of energy efficient building glasses, Soladigm will form a partnership with Guardian Industries, glass product manufacturer to market and sell the Soladigm Dynamic Glass in the commercial building market.
As part of the agreement Guardian will include the Soladigm Dynamic glass in its SunGuard advanced architectural glass portfolio by introducing the SunGuard EC product line. The company will also integrate the Build with Light marketing program, which is a joint effort targeted at architects, particular fabricators and glaziers into its product line.
The Soladigm Dynamic glass has the ability to change from clear to tint on demand by using the electrochromic technology and can control heat and glare in buildings without causing any interruption and allowing natural daylight to flow into the building. Using this glass can also cut down energy usage in commercial buildings substantially particularly during times when there is a peak load. According to the President of Guardian Glass Group, Scott Thomsen changing the tint of the glass dynamically will help in major reduction of energy costs and will make more companies to adopt the same. He also added that the company’s partnership with Soladigm will be helpful for the growth of the Dynamic Glass in the market.
The Dynamic glass will be displayed at the American Institute of Architects 2012 National Convention and Design Exposition from May 17-19.
