Old Castle Renames its High-Performance Wall System

North America-based manufacturer of concrete masonry products, OldCastle Architectural has renamed its high-performance wall system to EnduraMax. The product was earlier called SureTouch. The renaming of the brand has been done after extensive research based on the product features that are sought by contractors and architects.

EnduraMax Wall System provided a beautiful and sustainable exterior for the renovated ReVISION House in Orlando, Fla

The product has been developed after five years of research and testing. This modern high-performance wall system can contribute to substantial energy savings and resist moisture. The system includes polystyrene insulation panels with pre-moulded cells designed specifically for masonry units, which are made of clay, stone, brick and concrete brick. It also includes an amended Type-S mortar which has added adhesion, strength and pumping capabilities.

The system has an advantage over other cladding materials in terms of durability, maintenance and ease of installation. The new system is suitable for new construction since it can be engineered in such a manner that it fits any existing structure to be used on a complete building or as an accent to the exterior of a building when remodelling is done on the building. The product was launched initially in Canada five years back and was introduced in the US one year back. According to the Product Manager for EnduraMax, Michael Rohrer the new name represents the performance, productivity and quality assurance of the product better. He also added that architects and contractors now seek a combination of various features in cladding such as energy efficiency and ease of installation. OldCastle Architectural is a subsidiary of OldCastle Building Products.
