The Interna-Rail Glass Railing System offered by Hollaender has been chosen by the Wapakoneta High School Performing Arts Centre located in Wapakoneta, OH.
The Interna-Rail is an in-line fitting and pipe system, which has been designed to carry the neat finished look of a welded rail combined with all the benefits of a mechanical system. It is suitable for projects that require flexibility, durability, strength and resistance to corrosion. 6063-T6 aluminium alloy has been used for manufacturing the fittings and 6005-T5 and 6063-T6 alloys have been used to manufacture the piping.
All the Interna-Rail pipes and fittings can be manufactured with additional powder coat finish, which meets the specifications of AAMA 2604 for gloss and colour retention or a 215-R1 anodized finish which gives added resistance to damage. The complete system involves very low maintenance and is non-corrosive in nature. The systems are available in pre-fabricated sections of 10 to 24 ft and can be installed easily with minimal labour. The design features double tang screw activation, which enables it to stay for a longer period of time and involves free maintenance as compared to systems that use adhesives and pop rivets. The system was chosen by the architect for the school’s project Garmann Miller Architects-Engineers who were looking for railing systems that met their specifications in terms of performance, price and aesthetic needs. The Interna-Rail glass railing system with anodized finish and glass infill panels suited the need of this very important project.
