Contects Consultants LEED Certifies 800 Green Buildings

US-based Contects Consultants & Architects has announced that it has completed LEED certification for 800 green buildings across the US and also certified 1,600 Energy Star homes.

The company, which is primarily located in San Antonio, Texas has been chosen by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) as one of its local and regional “LEED for Homes Providers” to support the process of construction and certification in LEED certified residential projects. This is part of the USGBC’s efforts to employ local providers who have experience in the local market and who have the ability to provide support services in terms of training, marketing and technical support to project teams in the construction industry.

Only such providers have the eligibility to work in coordination with project teams for delivering LEED certification of homes. Apart from LEED certification, Contect also specialises in providing third-party certification for projects that are based on LEED and Energy Star. Organisations like Contect are believed to be the foundation for the LEED for Homes programme since they provide a wide range of support services such as performance testing, inspection, third-party on-site verification and other programme support. The various projects that Contect has been involved in include Fort Hood in Killeen, “Make it right” Foundation by Brad Pitt in New Orleans and M-Station affordable LEED Platinum multi-family project by Foundation Communities in Austin. Contect helps businesses take the right green decisions by providing them with appropriate applications and comprehensive solutions for any building and construction project.
