Gulf Coast Supply & Manufacturing, a producer of metal roofs, has launched a new roofing product series, OceanGuard. The product series saves energy and is renewable and environment-friendly.
In the International Roofing Expo (IRE), held in February, sustainable practices were given more importance. Sustainability Pavilion was the re branded name of IRE’s Renewable Energy Panel in accordance with the company’s objective to launch sustainable products.
According to Ray Bowen, the Sales and Corporate Development Director of the company, the product is durable, has long life and does not need any particular setback requirement for salt-water shoreline or breaking surf distance. In addition, OceanGuard has been coated with Kynar 500, which resists corrosion and retains color. In terms of sustainability, the product is 100% recyclable and above all, has been manufactured from partially recycled material. Furthermore, the affordable product has a better wind rating.
Since 1996, the company has manufactured and supplied metal roofing to house owners, contractors and architects in the Caribbean, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Florida regions. The company has revised its logo and opened two facilities at Stuart and Alachua in 2011. The 7000 square-foot Stuart facility is located in Martin County and suitable for the Treasure Coast. Alachua manufacturing facility is situated near the University of Florida at Gainesville and close to the Interstate 75 highway. The headquarters of the company is located at Horseshoe Beach in Florida.
