SnapSports Introduces TuffShield Sports Flooring Solution with In-Mold Technology

SnapSports, the Salt Lake City-based interlocking modular suspended sports surfacing and other flooring solutions, has revealed the TuffShield, a sports flooring solution incorporating an in-mold technology for enhanced quality, unmatched durability and consistency.

The CEO of SnapSports, Jorgen Moller stated that the feedback provided by coaches, players and sport facility managers on the TuffShield has been overwhelming. Unlike other flooring solutions, the TuffShield is resistant to wear and peel. The athletic surfaces manufacturer also provides flooring solutions for residential and commercial indoor gym surfaces and outdoor courts.

The proprietary technologies of SnapSports include ShockTower, ShockLock and BounceBack. ShockTower technology is a full-suspension floor system featuring 16 shock absorbers for each square foot area. It reduces the impact felt by the limbs and joints during play. ShockLock is an interlocking technology, which allows for modules slide upon impact. BounceBack is a full suspension modular flooring technology, which has been developed to act as a shock absorber, thus reducing injury and fatigue.

In 2011, SnapSports received the EN-14094 certificate of compliance, the benchmark for the EU standard on sports flooring. SnapSports is a family owned company with a ISO 9001:2008 Certified, 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Utah. The company is the official surfacing provider for AAU Basketball Jam on It, Special Olympics, AAU Basketball All Under One Roof, USA Team Handball, Volleyball Festival, United States Futsal Federation and the 2011 World Police & Fire Games.
