CEMEX’s Unique Ready-Mix Concrete Brand Hidratium Being Introduced

CEMEX unveils Hidratium, the company’s second global ready-mix concrete brand. This unique ready-mix concrete having self-curing characteristics exist in the markets of Mexico, France, Ireland, Guatemala, and Poland. It will soon be available in Germany, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, UAE, China, Panama, Spain and Nicaragua.

The exclusive self-curing properties of Hidratium results from the combination of CEMEX’s proprietary admixtures and the unique mix design principles formulated by its researchers.

Hidratium features 30% reduction in construction time, replacement of external curing, is maintenance-free, eliminates the need for post-casting repairs, reduces long-term shrinkage by 50% and eliminates plastic shrinkage cracking, enhances durability of concrete structures, reduces water evaporation by 80%, and enables manufacture of dust-free surfaces.

According to the head of the CEMEX Research Group, Davide Zampini, as the company is a worldwide pioneer in ready-mix concrete production, the company has developed a distinctive concrete technology specifically designed to be cost and time effective, besides focusing on achieving excellent concrete performance with adequate levels of moisture.

In association with the CEMEX Cement and Ready Mix Technology Center in Mexico, the CEMEX Research Group AG in Switzerland developed the unique ready-mix Concrete Hidratium.
