Farm Credit Holds Ground Breaking Event for New Facility in Greensburg, Indiana

Mid-America based Farm Credit Services has initiated the construction of its new office in Greensburg, Indiana, demonstrating the company’s dedication in the field of agriculture and development in rural America.

The inaugural event for the new facility construction took place at the Farm Credit office in downtown Greensburg. The guests at the event included Mayor Gary Herbert, Board chair George Stebbins from Ohio, Members of the chamber, Farm Credit builders and contractors, and Farm Credit advisors, staff, and board members. The new Greensburg office will be located in the same area where the current building exists.

Farm Credit’s regional Vice President in southwest Indiana, Hollie Bunn said that this new office will characterize the design and technological advancements of the company, thereby encouraging the staff members for a more dynamic service. Hence, in order to reconstruct this new facility, the old building will be demolished. The new facility is predicted to be 3,800 sq. ft, and is expected to be unveiled by the mid of 2012.

Farm Credit Services is an agricultural cooperative supplier that has established its services across Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky, with over 92,500 customers. The company’s headquarters is located at Louisville. Since 95 years, the company has been providing loans for equipment and housing and applications like real estate, operating, and caters to other needs such as leasing and crop insurance.

Over the past five years, the Greensburg office has achieved a series of construction projects for the ag lending cooperative. The current building project marks the 20th renovation or rebuild intended in upgrading its offices.
