For over 18 months, PinkWood has been producing its line of mold, fire, and moisture resistant coated I-joists at Calgary, Alberta. Laboratory burn tests prove the efficiency of the joists as they possess an extended burn capacity of over 70% longer, compared to a bare I-joist.
The Vice President of Engineered Products at Taiga Building Products, John Little stated that a burn test was demonstrated at the Pinkwood's fire laboratory in Calgary regarding PK I-joist. The resulting fire resistance was quite remarkable. The moisture, mold, and fire resistant coating of the joists stimulate the product to have a better performance.
The Vice President of Sales and Marketing at PinkWood, Blair Nutting said that both the parties being entered into this agreement will be mutually benefited. The I-joist distribution of Pinkwood will have a considerable development, thereby presenting Taiga with a mold, moisture and fire resistant joist.
