Behringer Harvard has declared that its One City Centre property in Houston was promoted as a BOMA 360 Performance Building by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International. The BOMA 360 Performance Program distinguishes and authorizes commercial properties that perform well in building operations and management.
According to BOMA International Chair Mr. Ray H. Mackey, Jr., RPA, CPM, CCIM, Partner and Chief Operating Officer, Stream Realty Partners, L.P , the company’s high standards facilitated the achievement of BOMA 360 Performance Building . This achievement is a demonstration of the property’s high standards of excellence, and will encourage its tenants, owners, prospective tenants and the society.
Located at 1021 Main Street in the middle of Houston's central business district, this 31-story One City Centre was acquired by Behringer Harvard in June 2008. Access to midtown, downtown, the museum district, and Reliant Park is facilitated by the METRORail light-rail transit system, proximal to the facility. The tower accommodates over 600,000 sq.ft of premium office space with underground pedestrian tunnel, linking 95 city blocks. U.S. Green Building Council presented the building with LEED Gold certification for Existing Building Operations and Maintenance.
The BOMA 360 Performance Program is an innovative building designation program. It evaluates a building based on energy, environmental/sustainability, building operations and management, tenant relations/community involvement, life safety/security/risk management, and training and education.
As proprietors and managers are awaiting an opportunity to gain market acceptance and familiarity, this program comes to their rescue.
