Skanska has commenced the construction of an office building for Malta House in Poznan, Poland. The value of this green project is EUR 29 M and the overall leasable region for construction will be 15,700 sq. m.
The location of the Malta House is in the center of Poznan’s city, having an access directly to transportation of public between the key ways to Katowice and Warsaw. This project is the company’s first office building in Poznan. The area of this office will be 15,700 sq. m. in 5 storeys along with 275 parking spaces for the tenants. The company has planned to begin the construction in January 2012 and will be completing in the Q3 of 2013.
The first office building in Poznan to receive LEED certification is Malta House. LEED platinum pre-certification has been already given to this office project, because of its new eco-friendly features to increase the light control systems, energy efficiency, and usage of water efficiently. The Malta Lake can be viewed from a green roof installed over the Malta House, which will also give access to services at the adjacent shopping mall.
Logistics, Official property projects and commercial buildings are developed by Skanska Commercial Development Europe. The company is focusing its operations on metropolitan regions of the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland and the operations are performed in three local units, namely Skanska Property Poland, Skanska Property Hungary and Skanska Property Czech Republic.
