Nature Bridges Wins Excellence in Construction Merit Award

Nature Bridges has succeeded in winning the 2011 Excellence in Construction Merit Award for the construction of a multi-use trail system of 2.7 mi in Suwanee Georgia at George Pierce Park that was presented by the Associated Builders and Contractors.

The Excellence Program awards from ABC have turned out to be the foremost contest within the construction industry as the exceptional construction projects over the nation are being acknowledged. The 2011 Excellence in Construction award is being awarded twice a year to contractors who outshine in various construction projects.

Gwinnett County in Suwanee, Georgia hired JD James as a General Contractor to link the Suwannee Creek Greenway Trail with the present trails in George Pierce Park. This project worth $ 1.02M includes 1.75 mi of versatile trails consisting of several retaining wall sections, scenic overlooks and timber curbing, one mile of concrete trail, over 1,850 lineal ft of golf cart bridges and boardwalks, and timber free span bridges over creeks.

Besides being honored with the Excellence in Construction Award, Nature Bridges was also presented with a Gold Safety Award from ABC. The Safety Award identifies companies with established policies and safety practices, thereby assuring a safe work environment for their employees. Senior Project Manager for Nature Bridges, Brain Green says that the company’s proficiency relies on its employees. Hence, employee safety is their first priority.

Nature Bridges is based in Tallahassee, Florida, and being approved in 12 states, focuses on providing an extensive range of eco- friendly formulations for boardwalks, pedestrian bridges and multi-use trails, in addition to the progressive services such as architecturally designed trellises, golf cart bridges, docks, fencing, pavilions, decks, timber retaining walls as well as DOT approved guardrails, timber curbing and roadside walkways.
