AECOM Technology, a supplier of technical, professional and management support services for global business clients and government, declared that its wholly owned subsidiary, AECOM Asia Company, has been presented with a consultancy contract by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s Highways Department, which is predicted to be US$148 M worth regarding the construction and design of the Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Link (TM-CLKL) project, which is a part of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) associated projects in Hong Kong.
Detailed design with domestic staff management and supervision-in-chief are included in the contract. AECOM offers contract administration with reference design or detailed design during the process of TM-CLKL construction, which simplifies transportation by offering a direct route linking the Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities of the HZMB, interconnecting Hong Kong’s Northwest New Territories, and between the Hong Kong International Airport and Lantau Island. The project works include a twin two-lane highway of about 6- mi length, 3 mi of which represents a sub-sea tunnel and anticipates accomplishing the project by 2017.
AECOM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, John M. Dionisio says that this is the second consultancy related to design and construction that has been won by AECOM for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge related projects. Being a part of Hong Kong’s Highways Department, the company is intended to develop Hong Kong’s transportation infrastructure.
