The spacious D Series cabs are currently provided with a big frameless door for easy access. Other features include a storage box, 12V power outlet, suspension seats, and a flexible lap bar with a pull down pad, 360⁰ visibility and mobile phone/iPod holder. It has also been supplemented with the V-Plenum cooling system with a reversing fan and an auto idle feature to minimize fuel consumption.

The optional EH Performance Package includes a switch facilitating selection between H or ISO control patterns and fluctuating boom and bucket speed and a creeper mode to simplify ground speed control with cold planers and big trenchers.

The D Series CTLs employ solid steel sprockets and rubber tracks, rollers, and idlers based on John Deere’dozer experience. Four rollers on the 319D and 323D, five rollers on the 329D and 333D improves track support, contributing to an extended track system.

D Series CTLs also use a simplified track system. The open track frame design is easy to clean, facilitating better track maintenance. A spanner and a grease gun have been provided to check track tension.

Convenient servicing becomes easy since the checkpoints are categorized and colour-coded accordingly. Detachable side panels facilitate access to battery, fluid and air filters, and coolers. 500 hour engine oil change, automatic hydraulic tappets and serpentine belt and long service intervals reduce maintenance costs. The tilt cab allows speedy access to the necessary components.
