ECOB to Provide School Building Structure to Port au Prince, Haiti

Eco Building Products has secured a contract from Northern Arizona Volunteer Medical Team for providing a school structure to Port au Prince in Haiti. The company has intended to deliver the building constituents for this contract along with the present contract from “Healing the Children” to build a medical clinic meant for Carrefour in Haiti.

The building components, which are planned to be shipped, are coated using Eco Red Shield technology. The Northern Arizona Medical Team headed by Kelly and a team of volunteers will start the construction after the clearance from the customs as soon as possible. Currently, the company has planned the construction during the initial weeks of January, 2012.

The Northern Arizona Volunteer Medical Team’s President, Kelly Reber, commented that six medical groups have been taken into Haiti in the previous two years. With the help of ECOB, it will construct a school in January for New Life Orphanage in Haiti. The basic requirements in Haiti have been doubled due to the devastating earthquake. Several boys live in small metal buildings with minimal ventilation and in tents. The organization bought a land area nearby the orphanage, last summer. It believes that with the assistance of ECOB, some children in dorms can be relieved by constructing extra dormitories and support buildings.

ECOB’s CEO and President, Steve Conboy, commented that the company is delighted to get the contract from the Northern Arizona Volunteer Medical Team. Finally, ECOB is delivering another order for a two story medical clinic on time to “Healing the Children” meant for Carrefour, in Haiti. Seven medical teams were sent by “Healing the Children” to work with colleagues in Haiti in tent camps during 2010. Carrefour camp has been shut down and the company immediately requires a workplace for continuing the work.
