Landscape Structures Inaugurates Concrete Playground Equipment Manufacturing Facility

Landscape Structures inaugurated its Delano, Minn-based concrete operations plant in September. This facility has been equipped to develop concrete playground equipment. Concrete playgrounds enable learning in the sense that children are introduced to a range of colors and textures on the playground.

Themed Concrete Playgrounds

Within the past ten years, several communities have been increasingly using architectural or decorative concrete. Landscape designers and architects use stamped, colored, and stained concrete for patios, floors, walkways and several other architectural structures as it enables using one’s imagination and creativity. Similarly, concrete playgrounds are becoming very popular.

Project planners find that using concrete is highly attractive as it can be easily made into innovative and creative play equipment. Landscape Structures is a creative play equipment developer and designs equipment by incorporating rock, tree bark, feathers and fur into them making them look realistic. Conventional play equipment when transformed from a slide to the tongue of a dragon, from a tunnel to a hollowed-out log and from a climber into a boulder, enables outdoor play to become an interesting fun adventure.

Themed concrete playgrounds need to meet the safety standards laid out by organizations like the International Play Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA), rendering them safe as any conventional playground equipment. These playgrounds also need to be manufactured at certified facilities. The facility of Landscape Structures is ISO 9001-certified and one can be rest assured that the equipment manufactured will have superior quality, will be strong and last for several years.
