Greenbrook Homes, a traditional home construction company, declared that its construction project at 6218, Llano in Dallas, Texas, has received the LEED Gold Certification awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for its green design and construction.
The project is located in Lakewood Heights, neighborhood in the Dallas. The LEED certified home underwent a meticulous certification process such as onsite verifications for its environment- friendly, water efficient and energy conserving construction, home energy rating and healthier living environment.
According to Angela Branan, the owner of Greenbrook Homes, the construction achieved green efficiencies with cost-effective materials and hybrid advancements and used materials that are comparable in price with traditional materials. She added that the construction utilized a craftsman style that mingled with the homes in the neighborhood. On commenting about the healthier environment of the construction, she said that home construction did not use any chemicals of VOC materials that are known for creating health related medical problems that are normally used in traditional homes.
Nate Kredich, USGBC’s Vice President, Residential Market Development, said that by getting the LEED certification, the 6218 Llano in Dallas, Texas, offers healthier living atmosphere and energy saving effects that any family may love to have. He added that the home was constructed according to specifications and was bought immediately on completion. He further said that LEED certified homes provide healthier living, consumer lower level of power, offer better air quality and above all does not make much damage to ecology.
