BASF has proclaimed that a feature program describing the utility of BASF Spray Foam in offering protection to homeless veterans against hurricanes will be aired on September 30 and October 21on Designing Spaces, an half-hour informative series airing on Lifetime Television Network.
The episodes will demonstrate how Liberty Manor for Veterans based in Tampa, Florida has reinforced its roof against hurricane winds and reduced its utility bills by using BASF materials. BASF’s closed-cell spray foam called COMFORT FOAM has secured the approval of Miami-Dade County Building and Neighborhood Compliance Department for wind mitigation application.
BASF qualified installers have improved the strength of the roof of Liberty Manor for Veterans by over 200% by spraying 3" of COMFORT FOAM under the roof deck of the house. BASF knows the importance of offering materials that safeguard houses from catastrophic weather conditions such as high winds, hurricanes and storms. Roofs are mainly affected by these catastrophic weather conditions. The spray foam application from BASF prevents adverse rain and wind to enter and deteriorate a building by sealing the roof to the walls.
BASF’s Business Manager for Spray Systems, Michael Sievers stated that the company is happy to support the mission of Liberty Manor for Veterans. The company is proud to offer a roofing solution that offers protection against high energy bills and high winds to house owners of new and current homes, he added.
