The Schuster Group Commences Demolition on Muriel's Landing Project

In September 2011, The Schuster Group broke ground on Muriel's Landing, a new development project in the University District. The apartment project includes 97 residential units spread over seven stories, with the ground floor for retail purposes.

The Muriel's Landing project is located on the University Way and is designed to provide housing for people working close to the University of Washington and also for the people belonging to the academic community. At the ground floor, the project will have a restaurant and shops.

Caron Architects of Seattle have designed the Muriel's Landing. The building has a modern collegiate design featuring sustainable designs. It also has a European influence and will adhere to the Built Green 4 Star standards. The Compass Construction is constructing the apartment project. The Benaroya Company is also partnering in this project.

The Schuster Group’s CEO, Mark R. Schuster, stated that the group was excited about being part of the Muriel's Landing project. The demolition commenced in September and the building is slated for completion in November 2012.

The commencement for leasing is to begin from Spring 2012. The progress of the construction would be available on Facebook. The company’s website will have certain details about the project.

The Schuster Group is a Seattle-based real estate development, investment and merchant banking firm.
