Jacobs Engineering Group, declared that Jacobs Engineering SA (JESA), its partnership business with OCP, has been chosen to offer engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for two manufacturing plants such as monoammonium phosphate (MAP) and diammonium phosphate (DAP) in Jorf Lasfar, Morocco.
The present contracts make the total number of EPCM awards to the company to four. JESA had received the contract for the first production plant during December 2010 and received the second contract in March 2011. The total values of the contracts are not disclosed.
Under the terms of the contract, JESA will manage management, procurement and administration (either in part or full) of the design and building work related to four new plants. The new plants are considered to be a part of a larger investment program envisaged by OCP to augment the manufacturing capabilities of its MAP and DAP production facilities. The proposed investment calls for the building and commissioning of four similar types of plants for the production of DAP and MAP within six month intervals from July 2013 to July 2015.
Craig Martin, President and CEO of Jacob, stated the contract awards evidences the amount of input value from the joint venture into the business of OCP and said that his company will be pleased with the relationship built with them.
