Kungsleden, a property management and property selling company in Sweden, has declared the sale of commercial properties worth SEK 279 m. The selling price is in line with the value and purchase cost of the property and yielded around 6.4%.
The properties are situated on the periphery of Slakthusområdet wholesaling estate in south of Stockholm located Johanneshov. The property has a rental area of around 25,000 sq m., which includes 45% of the processing area, which includes restaurants, staffing accommodation and offices and 55% of the area earmarked for warehousing. Nearly 95% of the warehousing accommodates freezer storage facility.
St Erik Markutveckling, a fully owned auxiliary of the City of Stockholm is the buyer of the property. The sale scheduled to take place in December 2011 is subject to the approval of the municipal council of the City of Stockholm.
The City of Stockholm has plans to execute wide spread changes in the whole of the Slakthusområdet estate. In its Vision Söderstaden 2030' adopted in 2010 the city has detailed its objective of developing the estate into an area for housing, offices, and arenas for leisure and to conduct events.
