Oxford Properties Group has declared its proposal to redevelop its 111 Richmond W property in Toronto. The company has plans to redevelop the 215,000 sq.ft office property completely by incorporating the current technology and by meeting ecological stipulations while continuing to upkeep the integrity of the architectural design of Peter Dickinson, the architect of the construction.
Around 60% of the property is already rented, which includes a lease of 40,000 sq.ft to an accounting firm from Canada and 89,000 sq.ft to one of the biggest technology companies in the world.
The renovation of 111 Richmond W including a public courtyard will complement the lately performed redevelopment projects at the Richmond-Adelaide Centre that lies across the property. The renovations performed at the Richmond-Adelaide Centre includes office lobbies, new PATH facilities, and other green initiatives. Along with the projects at the Richmond-Adelaide Centre Oxford has committed more than $100 million to the Toronto City and the complex.
111 Richmond W is an important element of the Richmond-Adelaide Centre; a five building office complex spread over 1.6 million sq.ft area in the business district of Toronto. 111 Richmond W boasts a period lobby, a public plaza and utilizes natural light extensively. The building is constructed to meet the shell and core standards of LEED and the renovation is anticipated to get completed by the fall 2012.
