Houseplans, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of International Microcomputer Software, Inc. and a leading supplier of stock house plans online, today announced that it has extended the availability of its popular cost-to-build service to its additional sites, http://www.houseplanguys.com and http://www.homeplanfinder.com.
Houseplans' Cost-to-Build service, currently available through its flagship Web site, http://www.houseplans.com, can quickly provide detailed cost estimates for construction of each of the more than 21,000 plans in its online collection, and has proven to be very popular with customers since Houseplans introduced the service in February 2005.
"Customers have greatly appreciated having access to our cost-to-build service so they can evaluate the affordability of plans for their house-building projects," said Jeff Spring, Senior Vice President of Houseplans, Inc. "Since launching the service six months ago, customer requests for cost estimates have more than doubled. It is very clear that our cost-to-build service is fulfilling a vital need that home builders have when planning their house-building budgets, and we are pleased to offer this service as part of our commitment to provide superior customer service."
Houseplans' Cost-to-Build estimates are generated using over 440 region-specific material and labor cost databases and not general, nationalized averages. The data is supplied by an industry leader in building cost information and is the same data used by most of the nation's leading insurance companies.
