Echo Pacific declared that it has been chosen by the Board of Trustees of the San Ysidro School District to construct Vista Del Mar Elementary School. The construction anticipated to begin by August will be delivered through a Lease-Lease Back accord with a GMP. For Echo Pacific this will be the first project to be constructed for the District utilizing a negotiated procedure.
The proposed Vista Del Mar Elementary School will benefit the Ocean View Hills Community situated next to a proposed park site close to the present Ocean View Hills School. The proposed school will have a facility to accommodate 850 K-6 students in class rooms with improved technology. The school project will receive supportive grants from the Certificates of Participation Proceeds and General Obligation Bond Proceeds compensated from Mello-Roos taxes.
In the construction of the school, Echo Pacific will implement its speeded up building process to add value to the school project. The company has been utilizing such construction process for a number of years now and found to be more useful to satisfy the current cost conscious business environment.
According to Chris Rowe, Echo Pacific’s owner and president, new construction projects and school modernization projects are the right prospects to implement speeded up construction procedures. Most of the Districts are opting for accelerated construction methods due to expensiveness of the lengthy construction schedule involved in traditional construction and increased level of costs.
