MetalTech-USA’ Building Products Meet ARRA Requirements

MetalTech-USA, a specialty fabricator and distributor of environment friendly architectural metals used in cladding, soffit, rainwater, and roofing systems, has declared that all its metal products meant for building applications meets the requirements of ‘Buy American’ provision of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The section 1605 of Title XVI act specifies that construction projects looking forward to availing stimulus funds must use the construction materials produced within the USA.

The façade systems and zinc roofing supplied by the company meets the requirement of ARRA. The company imports the zinc sheeting with specifications meeting the architectural grade, and utilized to produce building application products from Germany and makes all the changes required for the production of metal building panels at its facility located in the USA. It procures the components such as fasteners, underlayments, ventilation mats needed for its metal systems locally produced by the domestic manufacturers.

The company utilizes its USA facility to perform the activities such as cutting, shaping and forming the zinc coils to the set specifications of the builder or architect thus making them as end products to form metal building systems with a new brand name.

The Buy American provision classifies a building material as manufactured in the United States if the needed alterations and modifications for the product takes place in the US. MetalTech-USA utilizes its facility in the USA for all such applications, hence its zinc façade applications and zinc roofing products are considered as domestic goods.
