SunCal, a USA-based private land developer, declared that it has recently completed the purchase of Harbor Station master-planned community, a partly completed construction located in Prince William County, Virginia.
The transit oriented type of construction is placed around 35 miles south of central Washington over 1,920 A of forested land besides Powells Creek and Potomac River.
The property is one among the few unexploited and large chunks of land besides Interstate 95. The project has been inactive for over three years and SunCal has bought the piece of land as a bank-possessed property. The financial points related to the transaction have not been revealed.
The new residential community is properly partitioned and entitled to have a mix of civic, marina, hospitality, commercial and residential zones. The community has approved plans to have around 4,000 residential accommodations and around 3.7 million sq.ft area to locate business uses. Around 45% of natural open space available at the property will be maintained as it is. The site has already completed the needed grading and roadway facilities throughout the site.
The property also remains home for the globally known 8-hone Potomac Harbor Golf Course. The north east portion of the site is expected to locate the proposed Virginia Rail Express (VRE) commuter railway station, and it will enable residents of the community to reach Washington D.C, and other places of commercial interest with ease.
