The new facility is intended to meet the growing requirements of its clients who currently avail internet exchange facility and connectivity options with over 70 carrier companies. The first phase of the construction planned for an equipped space of more than 4,500 m2 is anticipated to become functional in the second quarter of 2012.

The total construction planned with an investment of around €130 million will provide an equipped space measuring around 9,000 m2 and offer a maximum user power of 2 kVa per every square meter area. The company is planning to invest around €70 million in the first phase of the construction. The company has taken the data center on a long term lease with an option to buy the site if needed.

According to Fabrice Coquio, Managing Director of Interxion France, the location proximity of its proposed La Courneuve data center with other centers will enable clients to take advantage of their existing resources to bring down costs and better their performance levels. He added that since the proposed data center will have direct connectivity to its other centers, the customers will continue to have superior carrier benefits.
