The new three storeyed construction has 50 private, self-sufficient apartments with a range of floor plans with underground parking. The occupants of the apartments will join the 350 strong senior community at Atherton and avail amenities such as the beauty saloon, dining and catering, and an on-site coffee shop. To meet the other interests of the seniors the community also features an art studio, library, workshop, game room, community chapel and an indoor swimming pool.

Haskell, a Jacksonville, FL-based design-build company, has provided the design for the project and supervised the development and construction. Both Haskell and Atherton took care in preserving architectural influences in the construction. The other important aspects of the construction include wandering paths, a pergola, fountains, a central court with good amount of greenery, and spacious breezeways. During the construction process Atherton took steps to conserve the prevalent landscape and utilized the services of a qualified arborist to protect a century old oak tree grown in the middle of the territory.

Atherton Baptist Homes is serving the retirement community since 1914. It provides four types of services to seniors above 60 years of age such as companion care, skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living.
