Building Maintenance, Tremco Roofing and Weatherproofing Technologies, a subsidiary of Tremco, have received a roofing and related services contract through the Educational and Institutional (E&I) Cooperative Purchasing.
The terms of the contract states that Weatherproofing Technologies and Tremco Roofing will remain the sole national provider for the contract period of 5 years.
E&I is a not for profit, member-owned buying cooperative based in New York with a membership of more than 2000 institutes. It was established in 1934 by the National Association of Educational Procurement with the aim of providing higher education for lower costs. Currently, the yearly cooperative purchases of the E&I is in excess of $1.5 billion.
The market development manager of Tremco Roofing, Brian Burden stated that the contract provided by E&I to Weatherproofing Technologies and Tremco Roofing allows the companies to expand their relationship-based sales approach into the growing education sector. Additionally, Burden explained that prospective higher education clients get the opportunity to work in tandem with qualified procurement professionals and skilled construction contractors.
The Roofing and Related Services contract will enable the members of E&I to access line-item contracts in order to address building envelope and roofing needs.
