Ramtech Building Systems Completes Modular Construction at White Sands Missile Range

Ramtech Building Systems, a Mansfield, TX-based company, declared that it has finished the work on a new prefabricated building at the New Mexico located White Sands Missile Range.

White Sands Missile Range Modular Building

The 4,320 sq ft modular building will offer the needed engineering and office space for the Multinational MEADS Air Defense Program’s flight test and final system integration functions.

The project was completed as design-build construction for CF Jordan Construction, an El Paso-based company, by utilizing the design inputs supplied by Jacobs Engineering. The facility built over a tough concrete slab foundation measuring 9” is planned to endure testing activity movements in the surrounding locations.

In order to ensure the required sturdiness Ramtech bonded the building arrangement to 24 x 24 pedestals made up of steel reinforced and fully-mortared block piers coupled to the concrete slab utilizing #3 horizontal ties and #6 dowels in place of normally used basic haydite blocks.

The construction built in conformity to fulfill Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection requirements comprises anti-vandal security bars fixed over the windows and the windowpanes are covered with fragment retention film. The exterior of the building employs a factory fixed 26-gauge rib strengthened R-panel steel siding along with a single-ply roof made of TPO membrane.

To provide heating and cooling facility for the break room, data room, conference room and 17 offices five numbers of Bard wall-fixed HVAC units are fixed inside the building layout. The interior in the main areas of the building are completed with carpet tile flooring and VCG walls while the data room is provided with static dissipative vinyl composition tiles.
