The subsidiary company of Hurd Windows and Doors, Superseal Windows and Doors is expanding its market presence and manufacturing footprint with a new facility located in Merrill, Wisconsin.
This will enable Hurd Windows and Doors to offer a larger range of high performance, affordable and advanced vinyl and wood products for light construction and residential markets.
Hurd acquired Superseal in January 2011. The addition of Superseal’s existing manufacturing facility located in New Jersey’s South Plainfield has allowed Hurd to supply to the International markets as well as the Midwest and Western US markets with its range of energy efficient vinyl-based windows.
The President and Chief Executive Officer of Hurd Windows and Doors, Dominic Truniger stated that the expansion with the Wisconsin plant will accomplish the purpose of both building the Superseal brand as well as improving the distribution grid and efficiency by the consolidated shipping of Superseal and Hurd products.
Located at the existing Hurd glass factory, the second plant furnished with modern equipment will be used as a manufacturing plant for Superseal vinyl windows. The manufacturing unit is likely to be completed by early fall this year.
