Chicago-based construction company, Leopardo, has won contracts for over 500000 ft2 of tenant interior construction.
Leo Burnett, an advertising agency in Chicago, is upgrading its headquarters at 35, W. Wacker. It is undertaking a demolition and remodeling project for four floors. The 100,000 ft2 project includes floor plates for 25,000 ft2. Along with Nelson Architects, Leopardo is the general contractor. The project is expected to be completed by July 2011.
Leopardo is to commence construction of Legal Assistance Foundation’s build-out at S. LaSalle in mid-August. The building planned would have two-floors and cover 60,000 ft2 with two multi-media conference rooms and 100 private offices. The building would seek LEED Silver Certification.
The 26,000 ft2 DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse is a part of the Joseph Freed and Associates landmark redevelopment at Sullivan Center. Leopardo is building 20,000 ft2 of freight and foot exiting corridors for the landlord.
Leopardo has commenced construction of a 3,500 ft2 loading dock for Target at the Sullivan Center in April, and plans to complete the project in December 2011. The future Target store covers 121,000 ft2 on two floors. The architect for the project is the DePalma Group.
Leopardo is currently working on a 26,356 ft2 build-out for a financial services firm. This is the second phase of a four-phase project and includes new offices, technology infrastructure, high-end finishes, wood flooring and millwork. The complete renovation would cover nearly 170,000 ft2 and is expected to be completed in May 2012.
