DexSystems Provides PierdeX Pedestal Flooring for Rooftop Decking Applications

DexSystems has declared the availability of a new PierdeX pedestal flooring system for use in decking applications over the rooftop terrace. The new light-weight PierdeX panel, dissimilar to the old systems that depend on the hefty square sized paver unit to transfer the weight to the four corner stands, offers a raised flooring underlayment to support various materials, shapes, sizes, and changing thickness.

PierdeX® Flooring Panels

PierdeX incorporates a concept similar to that one used in the preparation of the interior floor to use different types of materials and achieves the same for the construction of the rooftop terrace. Each of the PierdeX panels supplied in 32” x 32” sq measurement incorporates an open cell arrangement and the panels receive support on all the four corners to enable the construction of flooring at an elevated level up to 24” over the completed rooftop waterproofing.

The use of PierdeX rooftop decking systems over leaky and falling concrete rooftop saves the rooftop from complete removal of concrete by enabling access to the concrete for waterproofing purposes by removal of the panel without resorting to complete demolition and reinstallation of original material. Also it offers the choice of utilizing modular pavers of different sizes such as travertine instead of using uniform sized square pavers.

The PierdeX Outdoor Floor System now enables the use of materials such as rubber floor mats, artificial turf, tile, and thin gauged stone over the out door floor in a rooftop terrace.
