NTT Communications to Build New Data Center in Malaysia

NTT Communications (NTT Com), a fully owned auxiliary of NTT MSC, a Malaysian company, has declared that NTT MSC will commence construction of its latest Cyberjaya 3 Data Center in July. The company has plans to begin the commercial operation of the data center in June 2012.

The new Cyberjaya 3 Data Center will be located within Cyberjaya and on completion will join the company’s Cyberjaya 1 and Cyberjaya 2 data centers facilities to meet the growing data center demands from the Southeast Asian clients. The proposed data center will incorporate the strict standard of operations comparable with globally known organizations such as American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Uptime Institute (TUI) and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA).

The new data center will incorporate facilities to prevent flood and fire accidents, proper power distribution and power generator facilities, non-stop power supply, air-conditioning and surplus systems to manage incoming commercial power supply. The new construction will be built eco-friendly incorporating renewable energy features such as solar panels, rain water recycling facility and double wall insulation to prevent heat intrusion to achieve the Green Building Index, a green building index for buildings in Malaysia.

The construction will have modular architecture for easy expansion and provide on-site office space to enable quicker disaster recovery. The data center will also have professional team support to supervise the operations of the servers and networks of clients.
