OAG, a part of the Optima Group and an architectural glazing contractor, declared that it has completed the installation of two new glass roofs at the London located Cannon Place Project.
The project designed by Foggo Associates will incorporate latest modeled offices over the Cannon Street station. The new construction is a segment of a bigger sized project, which envisages notable improvements to the underground and rail stations such as adding of new retail units.
For the purpose of constructing 37,250 m2 of retail space and office, the building constructed in 1960 and located on the top of the station was pulled down. In the process of constructing a new articulated steel structure that crosses and cantilevers above the railway and underground stations and tracks, OAG has undertaken the erection of architectural glazing. The work of OAG includes a structural glass facade to the main reception of the building, glazed lift fronts and erection of two glass roofs. The company is currently in the process of completing the structural glass façade and lift fronts.
The project constructed by Laing O’Rourke, the main contractor for the project developing company Hines is anticipated to get completed in September 2011
