R and M Windows and Doors, an East Bay company that specializes in the installation of energy conserving patio doors and windows, has announced the availability of Ameriglass manufactured AG-3 glass system.
The New Direction line of patio doors and windows from Amerimax are designed to be energy efficient and offered for all types of home styles and openings.
The Ameriglass AG-3 glass system is an insulated glass system filled with argon gas and comes with a double seal structural foam spacer and a novel Neat coating. The coating harnesses the UV rays of sun to ease off the dirt accumulation at the windows to enable easy water washing to keep the windows clean.
According to Michael Easter, the co-owner of the company, the low emissivity AG-3 glass is given 12 layers of a patent protected formula at the microscopic level along with three layers of silver coating for high visibility, solar control and to save balance of energy. The Titanium Dioxide layer used in the Neat coating responds to sun rays to putrefy the organic materials collected over the glass. A silicone dioxide layer in the coating provides ultra-smooth exterior and hydrophilic action to distribute water uniformly over the surface while washing.
