Olympia Steel Buildings Production Plant

Reinforcement Systems is a producer of reinforcement steel for the concrete construction market. According to Bill Gallenz, President at Reinforcement Systems, the company’s three major criteria for selection were service, quality and cost, and Olympia Steel Buildings fulfilled all the three.

The 62,000 ft2 production facility will have completely automated equipment in the major part of the plant and a comprehensive overhead crane system to transport raw materials and finished products. A large fabrication area is also a part of the plant design. The plant will feature a total insulation system and exhaust fans and will be coated with cool paints from AkzoNobel to improve energy efficiency.

Reinforcement Systems’ $28 million worth plant is anticipated to hire 65 employees in the coming three years and to double the size of the plant to accommodate the growth. The Olympia Steel Buildings metal building system has the design flexibility to meet the projected expansion.

The President at Universal Steel Buildings, Arnold Davis commented that it was imperative to meet all of the OSHA specifications as well as the building codes for this building. The company, Reinforcement Systems and the contractor worked closely to have all necessities, he added.
