CoreSite Realty, a company that provides network-rich data centers, declared that it has been chosen by Silicon Valley Power (SVP) for the 2011 Energy Innovator award.
The company has also received LEED Gold Certification for the first of its four data centers planned at Santa Clara campus from Green Building Certification Institute.
CoreSite has received Environmental Innovator award from Silicon Valley Power under the Energy Innovator Group for the efforts of the company in sustaining renewable energy and energy efficiency. The award recognizes the company’s energy-saving temperature plan that will save around 6 million kWh of electric power yearly which can sufficiently meet the monthly power requirements of 6,750 homes. The Santa Clara data center campus of CoreSite has enjoyed power usage effectiveness (PUE) of 1.3 for the past one year thus becoming most energy-efficient colocation and data center in California.
Billie Haggard, senior vice president of data centers at CoreSite, has thanked the efforts of MATT Construction for their involvement in construction and project management for timely delivery of the project, and Mitsubishi Electric for providing uninterrupted power supply facilities and other engineering technologies that drastically reduced the erection costs and time and Critical Solutions Group for their proficiency and support all through the project till the commissioning of the project.
