McCarthy Building Chosen as Construction Manager for Winn Army Hospital Renovation Project

The Southeast unit of McCarthy Building declared that it has been chosen by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, as construction manager for the Fort Stewart, Georgia, located Winn Army Hospital’s renovation project.

The Winn Army Hospital provides medical services to retirees, veterans and serving soldiers and their family.

The $23 million fixed-price hospital project designed by Leo A Daly architecture firm includes 65,000 ft2 of new construction and renovation for 1,000 ft2 area of the existing facility. The hospital project presently LEED registered under the LEED green certification program of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is aiming to achieve LEED Silver certification. The proposed hospital facility will incorporate a number of environment friendly construction features. The project is anticipated to commence by July 2011 and expected to get completed by December 2012.
